Thoughts on the Ranch Inn or Sundance Inn in Jackson

Anyone have thoughts on either the Ranch Inn or Sundance Inn for a two night stay. If on time, our flight is due to arrive 730pm on 15SEP and we will be ready to try out a ';few places'; in Jackson before starting our journey to YNP,GTNP,Cody etc on the 17th. Since accommodations at some of our other stops are going to be a little pricey we are hoping for a decent place but with rates less than the Wort or Wyoming Inn..any suggestions. Thanks much!

We are staying at the Sundance Inn in early June. It is nice and clean and has a good breakfast. It is highly recommended on TA by others.

both of them are great locations (about a block from the town square). the ranch inn is a little newer and has more room options (from one bed to suites). they also have a breakfast in the morning too. if you can get a room from sun dance with a balcony, those are nice because they overlook broadway and town and it is fun to people watch. if not, then i would go to the ranch inn where the rooms would be better. also check out the wagon wheel village at jackson hole. they have been remodeling their property before the summer season and it looks great. they are about 4 blocks from the square.

i have stayed at both. nothing wrong with the ranch inn but i prefer the sundance inn. the ranch inn has bigger rooms because it is somewhat newer. the sundance is right on the main street(broadway), 1 block west of the square. the ranch inn is on pearl, also 1 block south of the square. both have a continental breakfast %26amp; wireless in the lobby.

the sundance inn is a 1960%26#39;s style motel that has been remodeled %26amp; is just a very neat place to stay. the family runs it %26amp; seem to take a little more care/interest in their guests. rooms are very clean %26amp; if you ask they will give you a room preference (room #1 is my favorite w/king bed).

we stayed at the ranch inn last march %26amp; it was fine but our room had a musty smell like no one had stayed in it for a while. we got some candles %26amp; it was fine. again, the rooms are bigger than the sundance if that means anything to you.
