2 Days in the Tetons

We will staying at Signal Mountain Lodge on June 10 and 11. Here are some things we have planned.

June 10-Leave West Yellowstone by 8:00 a.m. and drive straight to Jackson. Spend a view hours in town seeing the antlers and visiting shops. Check in at Signal Mountain around 4:00 and take their evening raft trip at 5:00. Watch sunset from the lodge area.

June 11-I will probably get up at sunrise and go to Oxbow Bend to see if any wildlife is out. I will head back and make sure my family is up for breakfast later. We would like to be at Jenny Lake for a morning ranger led walk at Jenny Lake. (It was at 9:30 in 2007.) Then spend the rest of the day visiting places like Morman Row, Oxbow Bend, ...

Does anyone have recommendations for other activities we might have time to do on those 2 days?

Are you into day hikes at all? One thing we have planned is taking the boat across Jenny Lake and hiking to Inspiration Point and then hiking into Cascade Canyon to Lake Solitude. This actually might be too long a hike for your timeframe. I%26#39;m not sure how much time is involved but even hiking to Inspiration Point (a much shorter hike) might be something for you to do.

I%26#39;ll be anxious to hear how the float trip is from Signal Mountain Lodge. I haven%26#39;t heard any reviews from that one . We had originally planned to use Solitude or Barker-Ewing but since there is one from Signal MountainnLodge, where we are also staying, that may be more convenient.

2 Days in the Tetons

We stayed at Signal Mountain Lodge last summer and did their float trip. We absolutely loved it! The guides are wonderful, very informative and very friendly- love their job, and the scenery can%26#39;t be beat! We will be there for 1 week again this year and will be doing it again. It is that good.

Other activities- horseback riding was a lot of fun, Cascade Canyon a must also Two Ocean lake hike very nice and less people.

the short hike to inspiration point is well worth the trip. the boat ride is pleasant too. we have many fond memories from jenny lake. hope you do too!

I plan to do the Jenny Lake boat ride and inspiration point hike. I am pretty sure they are part of the ranger led walk I am interested in doing.

Thanks for the positive review of the Signal Mountain Lodge float trip. I had looked at some other possibilities that would be a little cheaper, but I was thinking the convenience of being able to leave from the lodge would be worth the extra money. Your review makes me lean even more to taking the lodge%26#39;s trip.
