Accommodation

Brought our rodeo tickets last night and I have now spent hours looking for accommodation but not much about and what is has awful reviews or very expensive prices. Anyone any idea on how to get some accommodation for July this year? If we can%26#39;t stay in Cheyenne where is the next best place?

Thanks

Accommodation

Maybe Ft Collins or Greeley CO or Laramie WY?

Accommodation

There is a Comfort Inn in Wellington, Colorado that would be the easiest, closest, but it appears they are fully booked during Frontier Days. It wouldn%26#39;t hurt to call them (they may have a waiting list) -- it is also possible there may be other motels in Wellington (it has been a rapidly growing community south of Cheyenne).

Contact the Cheyenne Chamber of Commerce, they keep a list of private homes, rentals, rooms that are available during the rodeo. I would not recommend Laramie, particularly if you will be attending any Night Shows or enjoying night life in Cheyenne. It can be a dangerous stretch of road. Fort Collins in the next best bet. It is straight south on the interstate, so the driving is easy. It will be 40-45 minutes to the Ft. Collins hotels along the interstate and another 10-15 min. to drive into Ft. Collins from the highway.

Greeley is an option, but it is a two-lane highway. It is about 50 min. south of Cheyenne.

Good luck! The rodeo is terrific and you will want to stay close enough to enjoy all the activities and not just the rodeo!

have you tried the Fleetwood Motel? Also, there is a new hotel being built on Fleischli. I%26#39;ll run over there to see if there is any ';signage';... Our Best Western is now a Ramada (Hitching Post Inn)

You may want to check out www.bbonline.com for B%26amp;B%26#39;s.

Good luck!

Most Cheyenne hotels and motels do not use web or 800# reservation services for Frontier Days reservations. So you have to call the local phone numbers to reserve rooms.

Contrary to popular belief, there are rooms available yet for this summer, especialy since Cheyenne added a two new motels last year. Call or e-mail the Cheyenne Visitors Bureau (www.cheyenne.org); They work with the hotels to keep track of which properties have rooms available so you don%26#39;t have to call them all yourself.

I%26#39;d try to stay in Cheyenne if possible. It will be more expensive, but you will miss so much of the excitement by traveling 2-3 hours a day on the commute to a neighboring community.

the new hotel on the west end of town is a Candlewood Suites. If you%26#39;d like, you could email me the specific dates for which you are needing a room and I could call around. it%26#39;s local calling for me. Did you try the Springhill Suites?

Rodeo Inn 3839 E Lincolnway Cheyenne WY is another to try.
