All in-park lodging is booked for the dates I want to stay in Yellowstone (June). What are the best places to stay (I%26#39;ve already checked tripadvisor ratings) if anyone has had the opportunity to compair.

I found a room at the Best Western Weston Inn that has 2 queens and a sleeper sofa for a very reasonable rate in early June. It had decent reviews on TA. Since we have 2 teenagers, having 3 beds seems like a very good idea. One of the other reasons I choose it was because of the convenience of having breakfast at the hotel in the morning. Since we plan to fill a cooler with drinks, fruit and snacks like trail mix and grnaola bars for lunch, we will only have to eat out at supper each day.
If you had rather stay in the park, go ahead and book a room (that can be cancelled) in West Yellowstone and call Xanterra a couple of times a week to check on cancellations. That gives you a back up plan and you might get lucky and be able to get an in-park room if you can catch them after a cancellation.

We stayed at the Best Western Desert Inn last year. The only negative was the skimpy breakfast selection. Other than that it was great for 2 nights. Instead of their breakfast we ate one morning at McDonalds and the other morning at this great pancake place called Running Bear Pancake House. They had the best pancakes in the world!!!
