Weather: May-Jun-July-Aug

Hello, My Wife and I will be working at GTLC this summer, May-Aug. For packing purposes what is the weather like that time of year? We were there last Sept and was cool to warm. I expect it to be cool. Does it rain much? Any info appreciated. Thanks.

We were there in late May and the weather was cool in the morning and warmed up in the daytime. Layer your clothing. We did not need gloves or a heavy coat. We brought sweatshirts and light jackets and were fine.

Try this. Go to this link

Then scroll to History %26amp; Almanac. It will give you temps%26amp; weather patterns.

Hope this helps

Most important... polar fleece jacket, rain/wind shell, hat and good hiking shoes. May-Aug will be variable, cool to warm to cold to hot, just depends on what the weather decides to do. Umbrellas... don%26#39;t work, too much wind.

Thanks everyone for the information provided. We%26#39;re looking forward to Our seasonal employment out in The Grand Tetons.

If you have room bring your gloves, hats and warm clothes as well as summer stuff. In early May there could still be some snow hanging around the park, and the morning and nights are still cold. Especially if you%26#39;re working outside.

I see you are from florida...be prepared for cold weather in may.We had cold weather in the 20%26#39;s-30%26#39;s on a couple of days in early may. The warmer part of the days only hit the 50%26#39;s but we had gloves, downjackets, layers, etc. It is very wet and muddy as the snow continues to thaw so make sure to bring some good footwear.Have fun.
