non-stop flights from East Coast

sorry if this has been asked before, but we%26#39;re having trouble finding the best route from New England to Yellowstone. Are there any airlines out of Boston, Manchester or other NE airports that fly direct to anywhere within 150 miles of Yellowstone? Does New York have any direct flights either?

Don%26#39;t mind a bit of a drive at the other end but would prefer to avoid connecting flights if poss, simply %26#39;cos we%26#39;ve had bad experiences before with missed connections etc. Orbitz et al are only showing routes with at least 1 stop

Thanks

Hi Okie2,

I can tell you that from Manchester, NH, you will not get any non stop flights to anywhere near Yellowstone.

From Boston you can get non stop flights to Denver. United flies non-stop to Denver from Boston..I am not sure who else does, though. Try the various airline websites..American Airlines might offer non-stop from Boston.

I bet you can get more non-stop options from NYC

Good luck!

I know that Delta flys to Jackson Hole directly from Atlanta. United and American and others including Delta fly to Denver. Several airlines fly thru Denver to Billings,Mt. Delta flys direct into Salt Lake City. Try some of those airlines or their websites or go to travelocity and they can tell you.

Pretty sure its not going to happen. You can fly to Salt Lake City from Boston but its outside your 150 mile range. SLC is about a 5 or 5.5 hour drive I think. I used kayak.com to check.

If cost isn%26#39;t too big of an issue, fly into Jackson Hole and enjoy the Tetons. We%26#39;re going to fly through Denver and hope for the best.

thanks for all the replies!

We have had the same problem with missed connections plus lost luggage - especially through Chicago.

Up to now the best experience with connections has been through Newark, New Jersey using Continental Airlines which we have had problems with delays - but still got our connection.

This year, we are going to Yellowstone this way and have allowed three hours connection time in Newark so hopefully we won%26#39;t have to rush. We found it quite expensive to fly to Jackson from the UK and of course there are no non-stop flights anyway.

There may be more choice from the London area than we have in Manchester.

No direct flights. The closest airport to Yellowstone is in West Yellowstone, seasonal flights and through Delta%26#39;s Skywest Connection. Other airports (1-2 hours from Yellowstone) would include Idaho Falls, ID; Cody, WY; Jackson, WY. You can also try BZN - Bozeman, MT. United, Delta, and Northwest fly into it.

Just don%26#39;t fly into Denver, CO expecting to be close to Yellowstone Park. There has been some bad information out on the Internet and discount airline websites for the past two years advising people to fly into Denver, CO as a final destination for Yellowstone. It is many hours (and two mountain ranges) away!

Ok.. Southwest Airlines has just increased their flights into Denver. They may not be non stop, but they will be direct. Check flights out of Manchester NH or Providence RI.

Salt Lake City is much closer to Yellowstone than Denver and the drive is pretty almost the entire way, as opposed to arriving in Denver.
