Could anyone recommend places to eat in Cody. We will be there early June and would like to rely on forum suggestions for great places to eat.
Best places to eat?
Wyoming Grill and Chop House and Maxwell%26#39;s Restaurant. If you need suggestions for West Yellowstone or Jackson Hole, let us know. Also if you are in YNP eat at Old Faithful Inn.
Best places to eat?
We really enjoyed the food at Adriano%26#39;s (Italian) right in the heart of downtown Cody.
W. A. Robison
The Proud Cut on Sheridan Ave. (main drag of Cody) Great steaks, seafood, fairly priced. Note: It is for %26#39;adult dining%26#39; and generally do not seat parties with kids in the main dining area. Cassie%26#39;s is good on the west strip, but it is much more expensive (steaks are the specialty). Bubba%26#39;s BBQ, also on the west strip isn%26#39;t bad at all, think Famous Dave%26#39;s atmosphere.
Maxwell%26#39;s has good desserts.
If you are looking for something interesting and out of the way, try the Wapiti Lodge. Not necessarily cheap, but very good, steaks, lamb, duck, chops, and good wine list. Wapiti is a town about 20 minutes west of Cody on the way to Yellowstone. It is right next to the post office. Now Wapiti is a very, very small town, so drive slowly or you might miss it.
Thanks everyone for your suggestions. Didn%26#39;t know we would have so much to choose from in Cody. In response to CeCeDouglasville we will be staying in Jackson Hole two nights then on to Old Faithful Inn for two nights where I just made reservations for dinner while there. We will leave Yellowstone and travel on to Cody. Welcome your suggestions for any of the above destinations. This forum is great. Thanks for all your help!
Hi MelOtt, any relationship to the famous baseball player by that name?
In Jackson Hole the GunBarrel Restaurant is excellent and is affordable.
CeCe,
Do you recall the price range for dinners at the GunBarrel? The online menu does not provide prices.
Thanks
Approx. $12-18 per person which includes salad, side dish and meat.
Thanks, CeCe, that is reasonable. I always wonder when a restaurant doesn%26#39;t post its prices. I read soem TA reviews and it was described as pricey, thus my curiosity. I will put this place on my list of restaurants to visit. Thanks again.
No relation to the shortest man in the 500+ HR club. Old dead baseball players are good handle names.
Also forgot to mention, do not eat at La Comida. It is a visually appealing place on Sheridan Ave. and have a great location and outdoor dining area, but our family calls it La Camode. It is packed all summer long, as it is easy to get swayed in by the atmosphere. If you do go, just get a margarita or something, the food is subpar.
