Can anyone recommend a good place for a family of novices to take a 1-2 hour horseback ride somewhere between the east gate and Cody, in the Wapiti Valley? It looks like many of the ranches offer them, just wondering if anyone has done it and can recommend. Are they all nose-to-tail or do does anyone let you spread out a bit? Thanks!

We stayed at the Elephant Head lodge in Wapiti a few years ago and had a fabulous time. We took a four hour trip that included lunch but I think they have shorter ones. They don%26#39;t let you run - too mountainess, but there we only our family in the group. Fabulous place to stay and to eat. Nice horses.
