Hello,
My fiance and I are getting married at the end of June 2008, and we were thinking of taking a week long honeymoon in Yellowstone. Does anybody know if this would be a good time to come? As well, does anyone know of any accomodations that are more private and romantic with a hint of luxury?
Thanks so much :)
HoneymoonLate June would be a very nice time to come. The summer months are popular so there would be more people. However, if you like to hike that%26#39;s the best way to beat the crowds!
The closest thing to meet accomodations needs would be the Lake Yellowstone hotel. Otherwise, I wouldn%26#39;t consider most Yellowstone lodgings ';romantic.'; A little more rustic, but a bit different would be the hot tub cabins available at Mammoth. You%26#39;re booking far enough out you may be able to snag one of these. You might also look for a B%26amp;B in West yellowstone right outside of the park.
I would suggest staying a few nights in Grand Teton as well, if you can swing it the Jenny Lake Lodge is fabulous and would meet your criteria.
HoneymoonJust north of Yellowstone (30 Miles) is Chico Hot Springs. They have some very romatic cabins in addition to the hotel/motel type lodging. Plus an excellent restaurant (so I am told anyway). Not inexpensive. Also, they book up fast. We tried last Feb. for our mid-June anniversary and could not get a reservation.

I can second the vote for Chico Hot Springs. You may also want to look into the Bar N Ranch just outside of West Yellowstone. www.bar-n-ranch.com They have several small cabins with private hot tubs, great food, and incredible scenery.
I am also looking for a place to stay the first week of July. We booked the Old Faithful Inn, but now I am second guessing myself. I am worried about the comfort of the room, the crowds, the money, the lack of romance. I was thinking of the BarNranch, but havent decided yet. I guess I would use the words ';luxury rustic'; for what I%26#39;m looking for.
any advice would be appreciated. thanks, Julie
We booked the Bar N Ranch in West Yellowstone, cant wait!
