? Lodging near West Yellowstone

We were wondering if anyone has stayed in both Gardiner and West Yellowstone. Are the roads into the park from Gardiner easy to drive or winding roads with steep dropoffs? We were also wondering if anyone has had luck renting a cabin or condo near West Yellowstone?

We have stayed in West Yellowstone but not Gardiner. I like the Holiday Inn or Best Western in West Yellowston. West Yellowstone is easy to drive into the park.

Best Western Desert Inn. The only negative was skimpy breakfast one morning but McDonald%26#39;s is right down the street and the other morning we ate at Running Bear Pancake House- it was great!!!

We haven%26#39;t stayed in either town but have driven to Gardiner. The road is pretty crooked but not scary. I doubt you%26#39;d have any trouble.

When are you thinking of visiting the area?

I have reservations for the Best Western Westin Inn. The main reason I picked it is that it had decent reviews on TA and I was able to get a room with 2 queens and a sleeper sofa. With 2 teenagers, the extra bed was a huge plus. The rates for early June were very good.
