Cody Cowboy Village

We just booked our stay at the Cowboy Village for late July. We are riding our motorcycles from Lead, SD and traveling all the way to Jackson Hole. We just completed making all of our hotel reservations and glad that we have!!! Rooms are already selling out.

My question is how close is the rodeo shows from the Cowboy Village and can anyone suggest a great steak place in Cody. Thanks

This is our second trip to Yellowstone, but did not stay in Cody last August.

You will be within walking distance to the rodeo from Cody Cowboy Village.

Two great steak places - Cassie%26#39;s Supper Club which is close to where you are staying and the Wyoming Rib and Chop House which is downtown.

Both will require reservations.

Is Cody Cowboy village within walking distance to the Buffalo Bill Museum?

Cody Cowboy Village is probably no more than 2 miles from the Buffalo Bill Historical Center. It is walkable. There is also public transportation in the summer that runs from one end of town to the other all day for $2.00. That would be another option.

I heard there is a steak house in Cody that is for adults only. They don%26#39;t allow kids..can you imagine?

I think its called Proud Cut saloon or something like that.

The comment about the Proud Cut - that situation has to do with a Wyoming law that prohibits people under 21 from being in the bar. In the Proud Cut the main dining room is not seperate from the bar so they can%26#39;t be in there. They do have a back room and an outside patio in the summer where you can sit with those under 21. When making reservations just let them know that your party includes underage people.

The rodeo is within walking distance from Cody Cowboy Village. It is about 1/4 of a mile. A great steak place to eat is the Wyoming Rib and Chop House

Since you have transportation, NOTHING is very far in Cody, it%26#39;s a small town....no input on the steak, I%26#39;m not a big meat eater, sorry.

There%26#39;s a nice restaurant in Greybull if you%26#39;re coming through that way, Lisa%26#39;s.
