Hi,
What is the best way to get from Cody to Grand Tetons and how long will it take us?
We will only be there for one night and then heading to Yellowstone and then off to Glacier. We are a family of four
with kids 8 and 12. Any suggestions as to how to spend our time there?
Thanks!
Cody to Grand TetonsOur family of 5 was there in the summer 2006. I%26#39;m assuming you%26#39;ll be there in good weather. If so, take US14 into the East entrance of Yellowstone (this can be closed in the winter), follow the Grand Loop road south, then the south entrance road toward Grand Tetons (John D Rockefeller Parkway). This will take you a good 3 1/2 to 4 hours depending on traffic in Yellowstone. We recommend staying at the cabins at Jackson Lake Lodge. Pay extra for a cabin with a view - breathtaking. If you have time, take the raft float on the Snake River. It%26#39;s well worth the money. The town of Jackson is about a half hour south of the park - it%26#39;s worth seeing, too. Hope you have a good trip!
Cody to Grand TetonsI hope you will see the Museums in Cody, well worth it.
You don%26#39;t tell us your itinerary/schedule, or when you will be here. Hope you will be spending several days in YNP; you will need it and the kids will love it. If less than two, even three, days, I%26#39;d reconsider Glacier, as beautiful as it is. It%26#39;s a long drive and could be saved for another trip.
islandbound, I checked out your other posts; doing so many posts results in fragmented answers. Many of us have been to all of these places and know them well. So, I suggest that you provide your complete, to date, itinerary because it would preclude our having to ask questions and would enable us to better help you in your planning.
