I am planning on visiting both parks in late May and I have 4-5 days to see them. How much time should I allocate for the Tetons? Any suggestions for lodging?

Lodging for Yellowstone and Grand Tetons
At least 3 days for YNP and at least a day for the GT and another just for Jackson Hole in my opinion. I have stayed at the Wyoming Inn in Jackson but it is more expensive. This year we are going in late May/early June and staying at the Sundance Inn in Jackson Hole.
Lodging for Yellowstone and Grand Tetons
With 5 days for both parks.. 3.5 YS, 1.5 Tetons.
Lodging inside Yellowstone is best.. not sure what will be even open in late May. Check www.travelyellowstone.com. If you can%26#39;t get lodging inside the park... West Yellowstone would probably be best for the YS part. Jackson WY for the Teton part.

My husband and I visited Yellowstone %26amp; Grand Tetons for the 4th time last May and we are returning this May, this time as guides for my parents.
You really need a lot longer than 4-5 days; however, if you base yourself in West Yellowstone for the first 3 nights and your last 2 nights in Jackson, you will at least get a good taster.
As to recommendations on lodging, that really depends on your budget. We usually stay in Best Westerns and I would recommend BW Cross-Winds motor Inn in West Yellowstone and BW The Lodge at Jackson Hole in Jackson, both are handy for the parks.
I would allow 1 day for Grand Teton and the rest for Yellowstone. We went for about 8 days last summer and spent about 1 1/2 days in Grand Teton. I posted some tips and experiences, (including our lodging choices) of our trip on my personal website:

I didn%26#39;t mention that we spent 2 nights in Jackson at the Painted Buffalo Inn which was clean and a standard moderate hotel.
