We%26#39;re planning a summer trip to Yellowstone in a rented RV (our first time RVing). Will we be able to enjoy enough of the park without access to a car? Is it effective to visit the different loops and sites by bus rather than driving? Thanks.
Yellowstone without a car
Your post is unclear. Is it that you are concerned whether you will be able to drive the RV through Yellowstone? Or is your plan to drive to YNP, park the RV at a campsite, and then need to arrange alternative transportation/tours in order to see the park?
Yellowstone without a car
If you mean in park transportation, there is no public transportation. Here is one portion of the NPS/YNP website:

Many people drive their RVs throughout the park (not that I%26#39;m happy about the large ones).
The only way to not drive yourself is to take a tour. Check with Xanterra the park concessions for some interesting tours including the Historic Yellow Bus Tours, using old tour buses: travelyellowstone.com/…
Here%26#39;s a link to a list of other tour providers at YSNP www.nps.gov/yell/planyourvisit/transbusn.htm
You probably would be just fine driving the RV around. As a teen my father let me drive our 20%26#39; rv around the park, and we all survived!!! LOL!
Which campground are you staying at?
Thank you all for the responses. Sounds like we can either drive the RV around or take one of the bus tours (maybe we%26#39;ll try both). We%26#39;re staying at Fishing Bridge and won%26#39;t have a huge RV so it should be easy enough to get around in.
