Any info on Jackson Lake Lodge

I have been doing some research on this place and just wondering what others experience has been. I need to get some more specifics before I make any kind of reservations. We are either going to stay here or in Jackson depending on availability. TIA

Here%26#39;s a link to our pictures from last June.

The short story is its very nice and we liked it. We were only there one night. My wife said we have to stay 2 nights next time so she can feel like she really stayed there. Of course, after Roosevelt Lodge it was nice to simply have a bath without a path.

Its about a 50 minute drive to the airport. The only thing you have to watch out for are the elk in the early morning. We saw several.

Jackson Lake Lodge is pricier than what you%26#39;ll pay for equivalant lodging in Jackson. The biggest draw to the lodge is the view. But the rooms at the lodge (with the views) are very expensive. Most rooms are split cabins with no views. Cabin rooms are nice (no TV in any rooms). The lodge has reasonably priced and expensive dining (with great views) options. They have a lounge area with great views as well. Unless price is no concern, I would stay up the road at Colter Bay cabins for a lot less. We do that and will drive to Jackson Lodge in the evening for sunset and wildlife viewing.

We stayed at Signal Mountain Lodge and went to lunch at Jackson Lake Lodge. Then we wished we had splurged and stayed there even though the rooms aren%26#39;t supposed to be anything special. That%26#39;s where we%26#39;ll stay next time we%26#39;re in the area.
