Jackson Hole Vacation

Where is good to stay in Jackson Hole Wyoming. Are the two major places to go when there Yellowstone and Grand Tetons. Is that doable? Thanks for any info.

Jackson Hole Vacation

Jackson, WY would be OK for seeing the Tetons. Not so much for Yellowstone. You%26#39;d spend all your time driving to and from the park.

Here%26#39;s a link to our website. Most of the information is Yellowstone but there%26#39;s some on the Tetons. It has trip reports, many pictures with comments and some planning information. It might help you get oriented.

Yellowstone link is on the left.

Jackson Hole Vacation

I would suggest staying 2 days in Jackson Hole, at least 3 days in either West Yellowstone or Gardiner, Mt. and 2 days in Cody, Wy. That way you would be able to see all of YNP, enjoy the museums and rodeo in Cody and see the GT. If you could get reservations in the park then you could stay at Old Faithful, Mammoth, or Lake Yellowstone and see YNP. When are you coming to YNP and GT? Have you made any reservations? How long are you planning to stay?

Jackson is a great base for touring the Tetons, but not Yellowstone, as AKJ said. It%26#39;s just really too far to commute to Yellowstone from Jackson, as the park is just so large.

I would recommend the Buckrail Lodge in Jackson, about 6 blocks from the square. (buckraillodge.com) If you like the looks of it from the website, book now, as they only have 12 rooms. It%26#39;s immaculately clean and has a homey log cabin atmosphere.

I would stay 2-3 nights in Jackson max, and devote the rest of your vacation to touring Yellowstone.

Have a great time!
