heading to jackson hole next week and we are looking
for any info on good companies to chose from for good snowmobiling tours.small groups, lots of good photo ops and all in all a fun filled day trip;we also would be riding double?????Thanks!
Best snowmobile tour company and package tour??????
We are also going in a week to Jackson Hole. We found a snowmobile company by searching and found Jackson Hole Snowmobiles, we emailed them our request and they called us immediately to talk about our request. They were very friendly and answered all of our questions. We booked the Yellow Stone-Old Faithful tour for two people on one snowmobile for
$350. They required a 50% deposit when booking, and asked us to call them when we arrive at the hotel for our pickup time at our hotel. They provide breakfast before you go out and a lunch at Old Faithful. They were about the most reasonable and offered hotel pick up. Hopefully the trip will go as well as the preliminary stuff did.....
Where will you be staying and will you be skiing?
Best snowmobile tour company and package tour??????
just a suggestion....all of the snowmobile touring companies are very good i%26#39;m sure. however, unless you just want to be guided into yellowstone i%26#39;d try something we do everytime we%26#39;re in jackson in the winter.
north of jackson where the road splits to dubois there is a company that rents snowmobiles for 1/2 or full days. you can go on unguided riding trips through the togwotee national forest %26amp; it%26#39;s great. they give you a map %26amp; it%26#39;s very easy to follow, not to mention that you will see others on the trail, as this is a very popular place to go. the half day tours allow you time to go to the togwotee lodge %26amp; have lunch %26amp; still have some free play in the open fields. the full day rental allows you time to do everything, including riding all the way over to brooks lake lodge, have lunch, see some unbelievable views, lots of free riding in the open fields, %26amp; you can take a different route back to turn the snowmobiles in. here is the link.

So, can you hire a snow mobile and do a self guided into Granite Hot Springs? or does it have to be a guided trip.
Is it worth going to Granite? we are also doing a full day guided into YNP to see Old Faithful.
We really want to sit in a hot spring in the snow. Is it that good?
So basically I want to know if Granite is worth it and if you can do a self guided. Also can you do this without a towing car. ie are the hire places where you can just zoom off into the snow???
Thanks

i know there are guided tours to granite hot springs. we did this %26amp; loved it. i don%26#39;t know if there are places you can rent snowmobiles %26amp; go unguided. on the guided tours you ride a van to the mouth of the granite hot springs area where your snowmobiles are waiting on you. the guided tour is fun %26amp; not as tiring as the one to old faithful. once you get to the hot springs you can soak in them for about 30 minutes while your guide cooks you lunch.
you will love going into the park in the winter %26amp; seeing old faithful %26amp; the lodge. however, it can be a tiring trip. lots of driving/riding at 45 mph. not as much stopping for siteseeing or free riding because you have to cover approximately 100 miles round trip (depending on where you leave from).
if it were me i might do the snowcoach tour into ynp to old faithful %26amp; the granite hot springs guided tour. either way you will have a great time.
