Just made reservations for late May/early June. Is this a good place to stay? The rates were reasonable for 2 rooms and breakfast is included. We were going to stay at the Best Western Mammoth Springs Hotel but rates were higher and breakfast was not included.
Are there good restauarants close by for supper?

if you are looking for a great meal %26amp; atmosphere i would make the 30 mile drive north to chico hot springs in pray, mt. you would need to make advance reservations for sure (weeks in advance). very good food %26amp; setting.

We love the Yellowstone Basin Inn which is just a few miles north of Gardiner - highly recommended.
For food - the Lighthouse is also a few miles north of Gardiner and WELL worth the drive - fantastic little place with an eclectic menu, delicious food. One of those amazing finds that you%26#39;d never expect to just be sitting on a highway in Montana :)
