1nt float/raft outfitter and beware of misleading reserv. co

Looking for a recommendation for a Jackson Hole 1 nt. overnight float/whitewater rafting trip. Barker-Ewing was recommended but they are filled for the dates we need in late July. I also wanted to make note that last night my husband and I wanted to make reservations at the Jackson Lake Lodge thinking the obvious place to book through was Nationalpark reservations.com. We assumed it was the ';official'; reservation company due to it%26#39;s name. I would not suggest using this company because they charge a whooping 10% booking fee on your entire booking, even activities, day trips, etc! It%26#39;s expensive enough in the Jackson Area and they were going to make $50.00 on a 4 minute call. No thanks. We found all we had to do was book either on-line or call the Grand Teton Lodge Company directly and avoid any booking fee. I just thought the name was very deceiving for consumers. They also book other National Parks as well so be aware! Just an FYI.

Glad you caught that in time. If the URL has .com as the suffix, it usually is a for profit organization, regardless of the prefix. If it says .org, or .gov, you can check to see if the website is a nonprofit organization or governmental organization.

You are so right. In my tunnel vision to get hotels booked I wasn%26#39;t paying attention. Lesson learned. Do you have any experience or recommendations for Sands rafting company in Jackson?
