Does anyone know if it is possible to rent a car in Jackson, and then return it in Calgary, Canada. I%26#39;m planning a two week trip for July. The only company which I could find was Hertz, and it was close to $6,000 which is way too expensive.

I do not know about Canada but I can tell you that it is much cheaper to rent a car and return it to the same location. We are taking a 10 day trip flying into Denver, going to Mt. Rushmore, Battle of Little Bighorn, Cody, YNP, GT, and Jackson Hole and I got a SUV for about $470. Last year we flew into Las Vegas and out of SLC and got an 8 day rental for about the same price. Rental rates seem to be ok from SLC, Denver, Jackson Hole, Cody, etc. I found them to be more expensive out of Billings. Go to a travel website like sidestep and it will give you all the major rental car companies and compare their prices.

You misread the statement. $470 for 10 days vs 430 for 8 days.
AKJ you are correct. That is a whole lot different from 14 days for $6,000 versus acutually 11 days for $470.
I got a minivan for 2 weeks in june for less than $600 from Hotwire.com , booked several mos. ago though.
