Hi...

We will be in Red Lodge, Cody, Grand Tetons, Yellowstone and Gallatin then heading up to Big Fork and then GNP.

My question is does anyone know of a place to buy wild game or even bison for burgers to grill on our own?

Or anything off the beaten path....we won%26#39;t be eating out much but would like to experience something different....we can%26#39;t afford fine dining but would also like to know if there are any good steak places possibly that even serve game that the locals go to that are affordable....happy with a hole in the wall!

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!

If you ar going to be in Jackson, WY I would try Jackson Hole Bufalo Meat Co.(www.jhbuffalomeat.com). Their website indicates they sell bison and elk meat and a variety of sausage and salami%26#39;s.

I unfortunately haven%26#39;t had the opportunity to shop there yet, but it looks like they have what you are looking for.

The Jackson Hole Buffalo Meat Company sells bison, elk and other meats/sausages at their store next to the Smith%26#39;s Grocery store in Jackson. I am still hoping that there is a more local outlet...even here in Orlando I can pick up bison bugers at our publix. Just thought being around such a wide range of meat choices there would be a more of a local desire for variety.

But then again I grew up with a family of sportsmen in NC and we got our game from hunting and fellow hunters.
