so far I am able to only get one night for inside of Yellowstone at Grant Village. I%26#39;m stil lcalling everyday and hoping something opnes up for us but for now i%26#39;m looking into outside of the park. We will be coming from Cody. Online I found a website that shows some hotels right out of the park entrance. Has anyone stayed at Pahaska Tepee or Absaroka Mountain Lodge and how far are they really from the park???
places to stay on East side of park
there is a whole association of ranches along the way from cody in the wapiti valley. I don%26#39;t remember the website, but google wapiti valley lodging and you%26#39;ll get it. My understanding is Pahaska Tepee is within 5 miles of the entrance. We are staying at Bill Cody Ranch in June because of its reviews here. If you go to the website I mentioned, there is a map that shows where each property is related to cody and the YS entrance.

We stayed at Elephant Lodge in the Wapiti Valley second time there for two nites. Rode horses and relaxed - good food and nice cabins. Then into Yellowstone at Yellowtone Lake hotel. Ihave heard bad things about the Pahaska Tepee. As a previous posted mentioned google Wapiti valley lodging and the diff places will come up. Loved it there - quite and close to nature. Close to the East entrance but I would do a couple of days in the park too or up north toward Gardiner. Hope this help.
